DasBoot™ – Early Release Overview
DasBoot is an integrated yacht retrofit platform developed to modernise existing vessels through a clean, digital helm architecture.
After more than 18 months of focused development, the first production-ready release is scheduled to become available from May 2026.
The initial version is intentionally scoped to deliver the most critical operational functions with maximum reliability—forming a solid foundation for future expansion.
Designed for Retrofit
DasBoot was conceived from the outset as a retrofit-first platform. Unlike systems developed primarily for new builds, every architectural decision behind DasBoot DasBoot™ – Initial Release was made with existing yachts in mind—vessels that were engineered in a different technological era, yet still deserve modern capability and long-term relevance.
Minimal Structural Impact
DasBoot™ – Initial Release is fully optimised for retrofit projects, enabling installation with minimal structural modification. Existing helm layouts, cabinetry, and wiring routes can largely be preserved, avoiding invasive reconstruction or irreversible changes to the vessel. This approach significantly reduces installation complexity, project risk, and downtime.
Respect for the Original Yacht
Classic and well-built yachts often possess a distinct character defined by craftsmanship, proportions, and materials. DasBoot is designed to integrate discreetly into these environments, enhancing functionality without visually overpowering the original design. The result is a modern helm that feels intentional, not imposed.
Built Around Existing Systems
Rather than requiring a full replacement of onboard systems, DasBoot interfaces with existing engines, sensors, and controls wherever technically feasible. This selective modernisation strategy protects prior investments while bringing critical operational data and control into a unified digital environment.
Clean Integration, Not Aggregation
Retrofit projects frequently suffer from fragmented upgrades—new devices layered on top of old ones, resulting in cluttered interfaces and operational complexity. DasBoot addresses this by consolidating core functions into a single, coherent platform, reducing redundancy and improving clarity at the helm.
A Foundation for Future Expansion
While DasBoot™ – Initial Release focuses on essential operational functions, the underlying system architecture has been designed for long-term scalability. This allows future capabilities to be introduced without reworking the installation, ensuring that today’s retrofit remains relevant for years to come.
Initial Functionality (Version 1)
Engine Monitoring
Real-time display of key engine parameters, providing clear insight into performance and operational status.
Fuel Consumption & Efficiency
Live fuel usage data designed to support efficient operation, voyage planning, and cost awareness.
Trim Control
Integrated trim monitoring and control for improved handling, efficiency, and ride comfort.
Internal Systems Control
Centralised control of selected onboard switches and internal systems through the digital interface, reducing physical controls at the helm.
Future Capabilities (Planned Roadmap)
DasBoot has been architected as a scalable platform. Advanced features—including extended navigation functions, deeper system integration, automation, and remote capabilities—are planned for subsequent releases.
These capabilities are already considered at the architectural level and will be introduced progressively as part of the platform’s long-term roadmap.
